Over 160 Schools will be connected with ICT facilities to Improve Digital Literacy in Tanzania

Vodacom with the collaboration of Universal Communication Services Fund (UCSAF) were ICT infrastructures to the Tanzania schools by supporting the use of computers and free internet connectivity.

The projects intend to reach 81,500 students at the end of this year 2020 and will includes more than 160 schools from both primary and secondary schools.

Secondary schools like Intela, Mumi, Chikola, Membe and Mazae Secondary schools in Dodoma region more than 2,500 students from will benefit from use of computers and free internet connectivity whereby 806 computers and other devices like printers and routers will be donated.

This will be the second phase of the donations to be made by Vodacom Foundation and UCSAF of computers to public school in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar.

The first Phase of the project, 48 computers were donated by Vodacom to 24 Schools, and benefited a total of 14,555 secondary School Pupils.

Both phases the first and second phase of this pertinership between Vodacom Tanzania and UCSAF, 300 secondary schools across the country will receive free computers, printers, free internet and routers.
