Today the situation is no longer the same because most tourists from abroad and within the country reach the summit of the mountain without any problems.
Mount Kilimanjaro is a National Park in Tanzania, but it is World famous Mountain due to the beautiful scenery and it is the tallest mountain in Africa. The mountain is found in Tanzania and not in Kenya as many outsiders confused.
The park covers an area of 755 square Kilometers and is located 45 kilometers from Moshi City, South of Kilimanjaro Province, 2 ° 50'-3 ° 10'S latitude, 37 ° 10'-37 ° 40'E longitude.
The park includes Mount Kilimanjaro surrounded by a 1,820-meter (5,970-foot) mountain range.
The Kibo peak has height of 5895 meters (19340 feet), and it is the main attraction for visitors from inside and outside the country because of the snow covered the peak throughout the year.

More than 20,000 tourists climb the mountain each year, including foreign visitors and Tanzanians. This mountain climber needs at least five days, three days to climb and two days to descend. There are six ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to the summit.
The easiest and most popular way is to start at Marangu Gate, which is the headquarters of the park. Another way to climb the mountain is in Tarakea (Rombo). Several animals are found in the forest around Mount Kilimanjaro including deer, monkeys, buffalo, leopards, elephants, antelopes and various birds. The park is managed by the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA).
