Airtel Money Mastercard for Online Payments is Now Available in Tanzania

Airtel Tanzania (Mobile company) has announced a partnership with Mastercard by launching an Airtel Money Mastercard Virtual card service that will allow Airtel Money customers to pay for services, products, appliances, hotels, travel costs as well as pay for Internet services (like Netflix) when any more digitally through all service providers connected to or accepting payment by Mastercard. Airtel Tanzania customers will be able to enjoy this exceptional service due to security and certainty by making digital payments anywhere through this integration.
Similarly, Airtel Money customers will be able to make personal payments to providers anywhere using QR service for various merchants or service providers to pass an Airtel Money QR account or write the payment agent / service provider number to Mastercard.
The launch of the service aims to continue to grow the financial sector in Tanzania with the latest reports by the Tanzania Communications Authority (TCRA) showing that in Tanzania the use of financial services through mobile networks is increasing which by late March this year they have reached approximately 22 million have made transactions worth over TZS 8 trillion.
